Processor: match the room, not the brochure

  • i3 / entry tier: signage playback, PDF and browser teaching, light Office. Fine for most classrooms that live in Android and occasionally open Windows.
  • i5 (the default): Teams/Zoom calls with background blur, Office with large decks, split-screen multitasking. The right answer for 80% of corporate rooms.
  • i7: CAD review, video editing, data-heavy dashboards, or rooms recording and streaming simultaneously. Buy where the workload is proven, not projected.

RAM and storage: the cheap insurance

8GB is the floor; 16GB is the sweet spot for conferencing rooms because browser tabs plus Teams plus a 4K wireless-cast session eat memory fast. Storage: 256GB NVMe minimum — Windows updates alone will bury a 128GB drive by year three. Nothing extends an interactive panel's useful life more cheaply than the extra 8GB ordered on day one.
